New products on the websitePosted on 14th May 2019

We've finally got some new products and hampers on the website, and we think you're going to be excited about them....

The New Northumbrian Hamper £38

The Northumbrian Hamper has been the bestselling hamper on our website for a long time. However, 4 years since its creation, we decided it was time for a refresh! The Northumbrian Preserves Beetroot and Ginger chutney was too much of a popular choice to replace it with anything else, and we did keep that chutney on the product list. In addition, the wicker hamper is the perfect size for a little picnic, so we decided to continue to use that too. However, for a change, we included some The Honey Store runny honey, which is paired perfectly with the Elsdon goats' cheese. While we're talking about cheese, we chose two of our bestselling cheeses; Nettle, which is a delicious gouda-style cheese, with the addition of herby nettles, to enhance the creaminess. We also included Cheviot, which is an aged Gouda; matured for at least 9 months, this is a deliciously strong cheese, which is slightly tangy and just a smattering of saltiness. Finally, we decided to include a Northumberland Tartan tea towel. We absolutely adore the print, and it's so lovely to have such a truly Northumbrian product in the hamper.

Northumberland Tartan Tea Towel £8.00

This Northumberland Tartan Tea Towel is the perfect gift for someone who loves Northumberland; handmade in this marvellous county, and with such a gorgeous black and white print, it is a lovely gift. With the hand-tied ribbon, so much care and quality has gone into this product.

The Best of Northumberland and Friends £40.00

This hamper celebrates the bounty of amazing products which are from this fabulous county. We've got a lovely selection of wedges, including Nettle and Oak-smoked (our bestsellers), and Kielder and Redesdale, just to plot our cheeses on the map a little bit! Kielder is a Jersey milk cheese, so beautifully creamy, and Redesdale is a sheep's milk cheese, and the first to be created by Northumberland Cheese Company! We have included Plum Chutney from Northumbrian Preserves, which is the producer's bestseller:the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, it pairs wonderfully with all of the cheeses. Next we wanted some local crackers, and we looked to our fellow cheese producers Doddington Dairy. These crackers are made with their delicious Doddington Cheese, and they are a rich biscuit with a perfect snap. We've also included some Fine Cheese Company Rosemary Crackers; these aren't from Northumberland, but we think you'll forgive us for including them because they are so tasty. We wanted to give you something sweet for after your cheese and chutney feast, and so have Northumberland Bakehouse Shortbread biscuits. Made with real butter, and handmade, these biscuits have a lovely snap, but a chunky size, so you get a real treat. You'll need a cup of tea to go with those, so we selected localled blending Northumberland Tea to go with your biscuits. It really is such a pleasant blend. Finally, for an extra piece of nostalgia for this stunning region, there is a selection of postcards. The pictures are all old railway posters from the North East, and it's such a nice selection.

It's Fathers Day on Sunday 16th of June.. why not order him some cheese?
