  • When registering your account, your information will be stored on our Sage Accounting system for a period of 7 years. The information we store is your account name, your name, your address, any delivery addresses store, your phone number, your email address, and your order history. This information is stored on the CMS of our website.

 

What we do with the information that we gather

All of the information which we gather is used solely to process orders placed on the website. It is not passed on to any third parties. Contact information will be stored on our Sage Payment system, for ease of re-purchase by the customer.

 

Security

  • Any credit or debit card information entered on our website are processed through and payment gateway and encrypted using a 128-bit encryption. Payments are processed through SagePay.   • We do not have access to, nor do we store any payment details on either our website or our Sage Accounting System

 

Email marketing

You have the option to opt-in to signing up for our e-newsletter.

  • First names, surnames, and Email addresses will be stored on Mailchimp, and in no other location
  • When you are signing-up to our e-newsletter, you will be added to a mailing list. E-newsletters are generally sent out on a monthly basis, with slightly increased frequency over Christmas.
  • You have the option to unsubscribe to emails at any time. Any emails sent out as email marketing give you the option to unsubscribe via a link at the bottom of the email
  • Email address are used solely by Northumberland Cheese Company, and they will not be passed on to any third parties.
  • We send out surveys from time to time using the website Survey Monkey. Please note that all responses are anonymised, and no personal data is stored on the site.

  • Social buttons We have social buttons on our website which linked to our social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.   • Email tracking. We receive data from MailChimp which tells us the click-through rate and opening rate of our e-newsletters. Only the statistics are used from MailChimp. We are notified of the email addresses which unsubscribed, but there is no further communication with those email addresses. Email notifications from MailChimp are deleted.
