We've got some deliciously tempting specials in the Cheese Loft Cafe this month! There is a bit of a summer theme to the menu.
We always associate goats' cheese with the summer time, so we've got some Goats' cheese and Walnut scones for you to try, and some Beetroot and Goats' cheese soup (it's refresing, we promise! And you could always save it for the days when the sun is behind the clouds..).
The Cheese Loft Platter is a summary Ploughman's, if you like! Served with ciabatta, there are a selection of cheeses, cooked meats, olives and sundried tomatoes... very sophisticated!
For those of you who want to be a bit more traditional, we have a chicken and mushroom pie; handmade at Heighley Gate in Northumberland, you can really taste the difference. We're serving that with wedges and peas.
Finally, we have a few sweet treats on offer. The first is a rhubarb crumble; there is so much rhubarb around at the moment, it would be daft not to make the most of it. The crumble is served with cream or custard.
We also have a Wimbledon Cream Tea, which can be ordered for one or for two, and includes house tea or coffee, and one of our homeade fruit scones with jam, clotted cream, and a few strawberries too.
